Contract 23-1: Danvers Pumping Station Standby Generator Replacement Project Designed by CDM Smith

SESD recently awarded a contract to Systems Electrical Services, Inc. to replace the standby generator at the Danvers Pumping Station. The existing generator has been in service at the pump station for more than 20 years and has reached the end of its useful life. It is critical to have a standby generator at all of SESD’s pump stations so we can continue to operate the pumps during a power outage.

The project includes a new standby diesel generator in an enclosure outside the pumping station and a new automatic transfer switch located inside the building. The generator has been ordered, but will take time to be manufactured, so this project will be completed in the summer of 2025.
