SESD operates an RV Wastewater Disposal Station on a seasonal basis. It closes on November 1, 2024 for the season. It is normally available 7-days a week, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, from May 15th to November 1st to registered Winter Island Park campers and City of Salem, MA residents only. If you are neither a resident nor a registered camper – you may not dump here. For your convenience, please see below for a list of alternative facilities to dispose of your RV Wastewater.
Please be sure to follow all posted signage when on site. As a reminder, storage tanks removed from an RV and transported in another vehicle will not be allowed to dispose of their waste at the disposal station.
This facility protects our environment and our local waterways as best it can, but we need your help. Please, do not allow any RV wastewater or trash to enter the catch basin located near the station – it is for rainwater only! This discharges directly to the Salem Harbor. Please read our RV Access and Disposal Information and remember, Wipes Clog Pipes. Our Environment needs all of our help in this effort, thank you.
For more information on what not to flush or dump, please click here. Please help keep our sewers and treatment plant functioning and safe for our waterways and local environment!
Please directly contact any facility in advance to ensure you have the ability to properly dispose of your waste before making the trip!
(mileage is based on approximate proximity to SESD’s Salem facility)
